Founder story
I came to golf later than most, but once I started playing, I went all in. Lessons, practice, equipment and fittings became part of the process of trying to understand and improve my game.
What surprised me was how different the equipment answers could be.
I went through multiple fittings and received recommendations that often pointed in different directions — different shaft profiles, different flexes, different loft strategies and different explanations for why each setup was supposedly right. One session ended with a long quote for new equipment and upgrades I couldn't connect to anything I'd been shown.
The problem wasn't that I was unwilling to invest in equipment.
I wanted to understand why.
Why this head?
Why this shaft?
Why this configuration?
What happens to the rest of my bag?
And why is this recommendation different from the last one?
My background is building and working with technology companies, so I started approaching the problem differently. What if we could structure the golfer, structure the equipment universe, encode fitting logic and evaluate configurations systematically rather than relying on one fitting session and the inventory available in the room?
That question became TruePath.
